New Wine Ireland is a movement of The Word and The Spirit, which longs to see God’s Holy Spirit move among us in power, to bring transformation and revival to help local churches change our nation.
This demands that the people of God live holy, distinctive lives which is not an easy calling. Contemporary culture poses major challenges for discipleship. For this reason, we call our leadership team, board of trustees, staff and volunteer team, when at the summer conference and in their daily discipleship to:
A lifestyle of careful moderation of alcohol, and abstinence from narcotic substances as a healthy lifestyle alternative.
Make godly choices in entertainment, television viewing and internet use, rather than those which offend our holy God and have a negative impact on our Christian growth, our families, communities and mission. We encourage careful consideration of the venues we visit for entertainment and avoidance of places that would conflict with the ethos of New Wine or have a negative impact on those we seek to disciple.
Commitment to a Biblical view on sexuality, namely that sexual intimacy is only to be expressed within Christian marriage between a man and a woman.
Have a godly, teachable spirit, outdoing one another in showing honour, and prioritising our witness above all else.
While we are called to be 'holy as He is holy', we are conscious that we all fall short, and we thank God that He not only forgives our past mistakes, but also restores us. Our deep desire is that nothing in our lifestyle choices would grieve the Holy Spirit or hinder His work. We therefore commit ourselves to honouring Him in every aspect of our lives as we pray for the Kingdom of God to come on this island.
Volunteer team members are required on site by 10am on Saturday 13th July 2024 until Saturday 20th July 2024. New Wine Ireland will provide accommodation for you for the duration of this period. You will be able to check out of your accommodation on the 20th July by 10am. By ticking this box you are confirming that you can meet this requirement. PLEASE NOTE: The conference manager, head of Under 18's ministry, the team leader and/or a parent or relative cannot act as a referee. New Wine reserves the right to decline application in view of references and vetting will be required for all programme teams.New Wine Ireland requires that you supply the names of referees, who we can approach, for written or verbal references. Please make sure that the person who is named knows that you are applying for the position and to look out for the reference request after you have applied.
There may be the requirement for Garda vetting to be conducted after references have been sought. In the case of an unsatisfactory reference, New Wine Ireland reserve right to refuse the application.
Please let us know who we should contact in the event of an emergency during your time in Sligo.
Volunteer team are provided with free accommodation in self-catering apartments. Team accommodation will be allocated two weeks prior to the conference. If you have a particular request (eg. stay with family or friends) please note it below and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
